Famille!! How are you!?
Kaydence!! Happy Birthday!! I cant believe how old you are, 3 wow! Time flys!
I was so so happy to open up my email and see that everyone had a good week! I looks like Clutch had an awesome birthday, everything looked so nice!
It has been another good week in Pau! We started off the week
on monday and had our first day here without an umbrella haha! Wow it was amazing! Funny thing is tuesday the weather seemed to be the same so we left our umbrellas at home... Bad idea! It started pouring rain but we had work to do so Soeur Cerdhe and I Worked in the rain until nightime! It was actually pretty fun and we kept our spirits! Just a fun thing for you to picture;)
Guess what this sister knows how to make REAL flour tortillas now! But before i tell you why that is I have to give you the backround. Soeur Cerdhe and i have bene praying to find a mom with three children and who speaks spanish, wejust felt it was something we needed to pray for. Specific prayers get specific answers. On Tuesday we were out contacting and met a woman Gabrielle who is from mexico, speaks spanish, and has, yes, 3 sons. She gave us her address and told us we could stop by anytime! So yesterday Soeur Cerdhe and i set out to find this woman! We eventually found their house and just as we got there the husband and the 3 sons were leaving to pmay soccer, but gabriella inssited that we come in and sit down with her. She invitied us right into her kitchen and she gave us homemade peach pie! She doesnt speak french so Soeur Cerdhe would translate every now and then for me! We talk to so many spanish people that sometimes i forget what language i am learning and my accents and pronunciation get messed up haha.. kinda funny! Im not sure how but Soeur Cerdhe and gabrielle got talking about tortillas and sure enough Gabriellq jumped up, looked at me and said you are going to go home knowing how to make real tortillas, i started laughing so hard and had Soeur Cerdhe tell her that, that would make my mom very very happy! So we whipped out tortillas right there in her kitchen along with the hottest chili salsa ever, dad you wouldve loved that! The charity and love of this woman is amazing, i felt like i was back at home. When her husand came home we shared the message of the restoration with the family, they are catholic and hesistant, but I know they felt the spirit. It was so evident, but they are just uneasy. I am so excited to work with this family! They welcomed us back anytime so we will be teaching them, I really pray all goes well! Miracles are all around us!
I want to give a special shout out to my Dad! Happy Fathers Day!!! I will miss fathers day with you this year, that is so weird to me. Know how much I love you! I say this to myself all the time, but if i were to see you now i would hug you and i dont think i could let go! You mean so much to me, and i am so grateful for all you have done for me, and all you continue to do for me! Youre the best pops, Love your buddy Duke, Aka Soeur Kupfer!
You will all be in my prayers this week! Remember when times get tough to turn to the Savior, do not take the gift of the enabling power of His sacrifice for granted. He is waiting with open arms for you. I am so grateful for the opportunity to share the reality of He and the Fathers existence and love with the people of France!
