Bonjour folks!
THis has been sucha great week! Tony our ami is doing great and progressing. He came to this last lesson and had read nearly all first Nephi on his own. We will probably be giving him over to the Elders here in Toulon though, it just makes sense since he is close in age to us and our DMP likes doing it that way better! But I will try to keep you updated on him still. Efoma came to church with her baby on sunday, she is so sweet and has such a sincere desire to change and become better. We had a little lesson with her after church and she is so cute, it is so neat to teach a mother holding her new little baby and just think of the blessings that are waiting fo her family! This church is true. We are trying to help her understand that is is necessary to have a relationship with God at all times, not just in times of diffuculty. I was reading in 1 Nephi 18:16 and just thinking how in the world did Nephi, after all his trials, not complain. And it is because he always continually saught out God. In D&C 54:10 is says something like "Be patient in tribulation until I come, I come quickly....and they who have saught me early shall find rest to their souls" We know the tempests will come, but if we seek Him, out early before the tempests we will feel His love quickly. Nephi saught God out before the tempests and by doing that he had peace in his soul during his tribulations. We have to be prepared for whatever is waiting around the corner for us. And the only way to do that is by strenthening our faith in Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. I love them. I love this work I get to do everyday. I love you all, thank for your support!
