This elder is from Canada, he was a Young Adult in aunt sandra and uncle reeds mission in toronto. He loves them!
So i just got transferred to the Provo Utah mission. I will be there in just 5 days. April Fools!
Well this week has been a beauty! We have seen our amis alot and have had some cool miracles! My favorite part of this week was Zone Conference. 5 Zones met upin Geneva and we had the chance to hear from President Roney and Then His best friend Elder Lund who is a 70. THis meeting was probably one of the most spiritually powerful meetings i have been on thus far on my mission. President Roney spoke about Faith. He told us that a crisis of faith is a wonderful opportunity, no matter what earthly logic tells us we can show the Savior < I trust you>. In reality we lose an opportunity to trust the Lord every time we receive an answer right away to a prayer or a problem, the Lord wants us to build our faith in Him and the only way we can do that is by exercising it, as uncomfortable as it can be at sometimes, it is the only way! Elder Lund spoke about how exercising our faith is not a missionary endeavor, but a lifetime patter. We must learn to listen and act. He shared an amazing story about how his life was changed from 1 little decision to follow the spirit. We have to learn to listen and feel the spirit and then to never betray what we heard and feel. I have been studying the Spirit, the Holy Ghost this past week and my appreciation for His role in my life has increased immensely. The Holy Ghost is He who testifies to us that Jesus Is the Christ and that God is our Father. Without Him we could not have the testimonies of the truth hat we hold so dear. I am so thankful for Him. Elder Lund talked about how we must turn our backs on the world because we have seen, and heard, and done things that others just havent experienced. There are places we just cant go because we know what we know. If we get distracted for even a minute terrible things can happen. He told us that satan too has a gospel, he has a plan, he hates us and will do anything for us to participate in his gospel. He said that If we want to minimize the pain and maximize the joy in our life we MUST hold onto the iron rod with BOTH hands and NEVER let go! I love you all so much and invite us all to hold to the iron rod with both hands! General conference is coming up this weekend, it will be better than Christmas!! We will hear the Lords voice, how cool is that! Have a great week! I love you!
