Dear Family!
I love you all so much! What a wild week it has been! Can you believe that I have been here for 13 days? The days are long, but looking back it feels like I have been gone just a few days?! It is so weird! I have to start out with telling all of you thank you for your support! It feels so good to get mail at 9:30pm as we walk back to the residence after a long day! I am so lucky and so blessed to have such amazing family and freinds!

This week was interesting and all over the place! On tuesday you know that I went to Sanfransico to the French Consulate. Me and like 9 other Lyon missionaries flew out of salt lake at 7am. We were only at the Consulate for like 30 minutes haha... They took our picture and fingerprints and that was it! Our visas are good to go. We had about 5 hours until we had to be back at the airport so we figured we would get some real food. We went to pier 39! I had so many wonderful memories of all of our family there:) We got a bowl of clam chowder and some icecream. It was a great day, but we were all ready to be back at the MTC. It has only been 13 days but I think i am already a little weird, in a good way if that makes any sense haha... The spirit at the MTC is so unique and I was missing it after being out in the "real world"!

My brain is completely FRENCH FRIED at the end of each night. Our days are so packed and so busy that when my head finall hits the pillow at night my brain goes crazy! Don't worry I am sleep good! There is just zero time to think of anything besides French and Preaching this gospel that at night when I lay down my brain opens up to some of the normal human thoughts I would usually have throughout the day haha. I think of all of you and say extra prayers for each one of you! I am so blessed. Even though the prayers may not make sense I know heavenly Father hears them, he has a sense of humor and understands my inability to speak english or french right now haha:)

Yesterday in class we watched that mormon message  "earthly father, Heavenly Father". It made me tear up!  I MISS KIDS! As wonderful as this place is it is missing one of the more glorious and happy aspects of our lives, children! Please hug the kids extra tight for me today I pray for each one them earnestly every single day, and I pray for the children that will join our fmaily in the future too, just as earnestly. I love them all so much!

I have studied the DOC, The Doctrine Of Christ A LOT this week. I know it is a favorite of Elder Halladays and I know he has a Solid testimony of each principle. I want that too and am learning so much. Chech out 2 Nephi 31. The DOC is so simple yet so profound. It is Faith in Jesus Christ, Repentance, Baptism, The Gift of The Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End. Even if we have been baptized, we should all be aiming to live the DOC every single day of our lives. We can renew the covenants we made at baptism every week as we partake of the scrament! I could go on and on the blessings it would bring to our lives if we followed the DOC every day, I am so excited to study it more and apply it as much as I can! I am so exctied to share it with the people of France!
The Language, the language is coming! It is so much work, but it is good. I am learnign things about who I, Mckensie Elise Kupfer really am each and every day. It is humbling. I keep reminding myself that I did not come on this mission to be the best at French, that is just ridiculous, I came on this mission to be the Best Servant of our Lord that I could be. If I continually recognize myself as a servant to HIm, and remember it is NOT about me then I know French will continue to click I can pray, bear my testimony, and teach some basic principles for preach my gospel in French. I know the Lord helps his missionaries. I couldn't do this on my own, and I couldn't do it with out all the prayers I know i am getting! The power of prayer is tangible, I can feel it! It is so exciting!!!
Everything with my companion and district is going great! We have so much fun, but we also know how to get down to business and study our brains out! It is neat to see how the Lord puts together companionships, and districts. Soeur Fortuna makes up for my weaknesses and I hope I am helping her too. Soeur Bononuatta The italian is hilarious, we cry every night because she makes us laugh so hard! I wish you could all get a little sneak peak of her haha, you would die!! I will try to send some videos:) Pictures for sure!

Folks, this church is true, without a doubt i know it! Our Savior is ready to help us with any need we have, no matter how small or big it may seem to be! We just must be willing to accept how weak we truly are and turn out inabilities or struggles over to Him. The ability to recognize our weaknesses it truly one of our greatest blessing, beacuse it forces us to turn to Him, to Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. I love you all more than you know and pray for you every day many many times!!! Thank you for all your womderful examples, you strengthen me every day!

Love Soeur Kupfer!!!
