Week 6 | Pau, France

Bonjour!!

I was so happy and excited to open up my email and see all the good news from home! It sound like everyone is doing great! It was another great week in Pau! I am so grateful to be here. President made transfer calls on friday and Soeur Cerdhe and i will be here for atleast another 6 weeks. I Knew before he called that i wasnt going anywhere, there is too much work yet to be done! I am erally excited for this next mutation! That is tranfer. It feels so good to atleast have my feet wet here and kind of understand the city and kind of understand the language haha :) I have been blessed to understand a lot, speaking is tricky, but with the Lords help understand the people has come!

This week we had a lesson with our ami Michael, have i told you about him yet? Im not sure. Michael is one of the most genuine people ive yet to come across! He has a heart of gold..He is just agnostic, like a lot of the people her in France. We challenege him to read the Book of Mormon 2 weeks ago and he has neqrly finished it and is now reading the  guide at the end. He reqlly wants to know the truth, but faith is so difficult for him. But he said when he reads he wants to know if God is there, i know that is the spirit working on him. As always when the spirit is working on someone, so is satan unfortunately. And that is how it has been with Michael, he came across some really negative bizarre stuff about the restoration. At our rendevous with him 2 night qgo he shqred qll of it with us and it was so so bizarre and broke my heart! I was so graetful that Soeur Cerdhe and I had the spirit and were on the same page about how to handle this situation, the natural man(woman) in us wanted to jump on those falseaccusations and let our pride take over, but we faught back those desires and really just let him talk out all of his concerns for nearly a half hour. Then when we could tell he was done we bore testimony that we knew these things were true by the Holy Spirit. That God is our loving Heavenly Father, that through His sincere love for us he called a prophet Joseph Smith to restore the church of His Son Jesus Christ to the Earth, and that the Book of Mormon is proof of that. It didnt clear up his concerns, but he was quite and we knew that he knew that we cared about him and that we knew those things were true. When these situations arise it is so much better to not use our weak words to battle, why not use the gift of the words Heavenly Father has given us, our testomonies. I learned a big lesson that night, one that im going to have to use a lot on this mission! I am so grateful to have learned it now while i am bleu (yes bleu not green, weird eh?). And the best part, Michael came to church again on Sunday! I am so grateful to be here in France and to be aorking with these people! I love you all so much and pray that you feel the infinitie Love of our Savior in your lives this week.
