Week 9 | Pau, France

And did i tell you that last transfer SOeur Fortuna, my old MTC comp replaced one of the sisters in the other equipe? So cool huh!! So i see Soeur Fortuna everyday! Transfer wont be for another 2 or 3 weeks or so i think!
contacted this crazy crowd! Not exactly sure what was going on, but they wanted a picture with us so i got one with them too ha...
we met a member from bordeaux that was in pau at a little reasaurant for a quick juice break during lunch hour haha!
this is our chapel

soeur cerdhe hit her year mark so i decorated and got her princess sticker books which she absolutely loves haha!! I am so silly i could hardly sleep the night before!oh and i made some baked oatmeal to celebrate!

What a week it has been!!! I am so so grateful that the Lord got me teaching simple last week because this week we really needed it! We met so many wonderful people and had 4 rendevous with the people that we met. And the reason why the rendevous had to be so simple, none of them are from france, they all speak even less French than me. First Gihad, who is from ethiopia, Fernanda from portugal, Matie from Romania and Leonel from Africa! It is really amazing to be able to meet so many people from so many different wals of life. I want to talk about Gihad, he is the most humble man Ive met yet in France, We went to teach him and he lives in a tiny one room apartment with only a bed and a chair. He is a refugee from Ethiopia and has been in france for 4 years but just hasnt been able to pick up french. The way we teach is caveman french, conjugating nothing, but it is powerful because he isnt just hearing he is listening and really trying to understand. THe problem is is there isnt a book of mormon in his dialect, so we are trying to find as much material online in Ohmortiin so he can understand more clearly. I just really really love him and pray that the spirit will help us understand eachother! THen Matie, he is amazing!!! He has a wife and a daughter here in Pau also and they are so sweet. He is just looking for work and having a hard time finding it, but he has so much faith and always says that its ok, God will help him find the work. He said as long as he can bring home 10 euros every other day his family can make it. It made my stomach sick when he told us that because that is nearly the same budget that we have as missionnaries, and it is only for us, 1 person. He speaks so little french too, so we talk really slow and we check each other often "compris? , oui compris" haha it is so cute!! These people are so willing to hear the word of God, it is really just a miracle! It is really tricky to keep people on the path of having the missionnaries over because there is a lot of flase beleifes of the mormon church. We lost Fernanda this morning, we think she went to her catholic church yesterday and her friends told her some false thigns because she called us this morning and told us to come get the book before she threw them out, it is so sad, but we can only do our best and pray that they will have the strength to overcome the opposition that they are faced with! This week I am just so happy and so very grateful for the opportunity to be here! I am so happy and feel such a love for people in genernal like never before. I know Heavenly Father has a plan for each one of his children to be able to return to Him, but we have to help each get back! We cant do it alone! Life is so wonderful and is so happy when you can help someone take a step closer to our Father!! I love you all so much!! Have a wonderful week!!

Love Soeur Kupfer
