Week 35 | Pau, France

District Meeting

We went and visited a non praticant member  who is about 55 this week who hasnt been to churhc in yeras. We called her from the list of non practising members and she told us we could come over. We got here thingking we would just be talking and come to find out she is a severe Hoarder, the worst i have ever seen, worse than the show on tv! We ended up moving things around her house for her, from room to room and what not. She was so negative, not saying one nice thing about anyone or anything. We went outside to her patio and she had us dig around in these bushes to look for a ring or something that she lost out there, we couldnt find it, but during it i brushed m hand on some bush and it swelled up and was red and i wanted to cut it off haha... But i ignored it. We cleared a space for three os us so we could talk to her. We asked her if she thought God loved her and she didnt, we testified strongly that He did love her and wanted Her to be happy. We sat there talking for about 20 mintues and she softened little by little, but still nothing positive was coming out of her mouth. We thought it would be better if we could talk to her outside, because the spirit was just being stiffeled in her dark filled house, so we made our way outfront. We walked a little bit and were looking at something on the side of the road when a darling little old portugeuse woman walked up smiling at us. We started talking and offered to help carry her groceries home for her, she was more than happy to let us and our non praticant member decided to walk with us! This little portuguese lady invited us all in for a drink and at the end her and the member ended up exchanging numbers and planned to see each other the next day! It was dark at this point and we had to go and catch our bus so us the member ran back to her apartment arm in arm laughing! She was 100 percent different from when we first met her. She was smiling and looked at us and said today i made 3 new best friends! It is absolutely amazing the miralces the Lord can produce by small and simple means! I love my mission! We get transfer calls on friday, Ill let you know where i am next week! I love you al thanks for everything!
