Bonjour!
We did 3 exchanges this week, each time i was with a foreigner! S. De Feo from Italy, S. Eschbach from Germany, and S. Paulo from Portugal! It is hilarious that is is sometimes easier to communicate in french with them than english, we had some funny moments haha!
We were here in annemasse for all 3 of the xchanges and saw some really cool miracles. Monday night i set a rdv up with our ami ilian for the next day, but it was to late to search for a member to teach with us so tuseday morning i started making calls.(our president has asked us to have a member at every lesson, and we have to especially if it is with a man) I qucikly called 10 members nobody could, 15-no, 20-no, 25-no. At this point my companion was looking at me wondering what i was going to do, i was so frustrated, all we needed was someone for 30 minutes that was it but no, no body could. I called 4 more people-no. After that 29th call i had to make a choice either throw the phone haha or go get a drink of water and come back, thankfully i choose the 2nd. I was still so frustrated that we were trying to do a good thing, trying to do what we have been asked to but it wasnt working. I got down and prayed and asked heavenly Father if He would have someone call us back so we could do what He wanted us to do. During the prayer i got a text- i got up from praying and my companion just looked at me i slowly looked at it and it was a member who has not responded the past 2 weeks to teach with us, but said that she would love to! Lets just say that God answers 9prayers no matter how simple it might be as long as we are searching our best to do His will.
We saw too many miracles this week i cant tell about all of them! Last week we got a refferal from church head quarters (never happens) for someone wanting a BOM. We called this woman, nathalie, and she lives in the mountains in the middle of nowhere! We found a member to take us there and got a little lost on the way-prayed, and the gps started working when there was no service (side miracle). We made it to her house and had a quick rdv with her, shared the BOM and explained it. She texted us the next day saying she had read all of 1st Nephi and was startng 2nd Nephi. She said she was so happy to be discovering this book that brings warm feelings to her heart! We have another rdv with her for this friday! She is amazing and we are so excited for her! I love being a missionary! I know the reason why I am here, to help people come to know that through our Savior Jesus Christ, through his grace and mercy, we can return one day to live with our Father in Heaven with our families! there is nothing that brings me more happiness than this message! I love you all so much and am so grateful for your support! Have a great week!
