There is a big boat festival with all kinds of stuff going on here right now!! And this is when we were out looking for less actives in La Seyne Sur-Merwent to the beach in La Seyne Sur-Mer last p day for a moment haha... didnt touch the water!
Oh yes and our area is the only area in the mission where we are allowed on boats. Some members and less actives live in La Seyne Sur-Mer and we "have" to take a boat to get to them
cathedral we visited today
Bonjour!
This week we had a Zone Meeting in Nice.We talked alot about planning and setting goals. The Zls shared a quote of President Roneys that says, "You can plan yourself into anyone you want to be". It is really just all about mastering the technique of living. They talked about how some guy ate an airplane recently? Maybe you have head about it, but he didnt do it all at once, he ate is slowly over time, but he ate it!! So we have been working on setting goals and doing the little things to reach them this week! One of our goals was to have better nightly planning for the next day, to be more specific, and we have had some really great days.Yesterday was really well planned and we felt good about it but at the end of the day it didnt go at all how we planned it to got! We had a big lunch with our ward after church and my companion got sick so we had topush back a lesson for a couple hours. Earlier on in this week we met a tourist member from utah, her name is Carolanne and she needed somewhere to stay until her train came last night so we met her at the church and rushed to our lesson. It was with some old amis Efome and Gregory Burion. They just had a baby girl Cecile 2 months ago and they are amazing, they were so excited to have sisters, especially Efoma! It is so neat getitng to talk to her about her little girl that is so close to Sailors age!! Efoma is just now ready to progress. We are meeting with her again this week and are so excited for it!! After the lesson we had to run back to the church to help Carolanne with her bags to the Train Station. As i was runningaround the corner there was an old woman ina wheel chair she hollered out to me and i stopped. She asked me if i could help her and i said of course. She told us that she had broken her knee and she needed help but her son was not nice and wouldnt help her. The frnech vocab she used was hard to understand but we followed her to her house. We helped her inside as she was hurting the whole way. She needed help to the bathroom, I am so grateful I knew how the help her, she was crying and i was crying. We were both just crying while I helped her. Never have i seen someone more grateful for help. We ended up getting her all sutuated and making sure someone would come to help her. It is a good thing her son wasnt home i might have taken off my plaque for a minute. We ended up getting carolanna to the train station in time even and everything worked out. It just goes to show that we can make the best plans in the world but the Lord is going to put us where He knows His children need us. I am so grateful to get to be here serving the people in France. I may not be seeing loads enter the waters of baptism, but the Lords work is getting done. I love you all and am so grateful for your support!
Love Soeur Kupfer!
